The purpose is to process your reservation and send you your ticket. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract, and performance of that contract). The ticket image is deleted automatically once the email has been sent. We keep your name and email address until the festival has finished, and delete them afterwards unless statutory retention periods require otherwise.
This website is hosted on Firebase Hosting, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. When you load a page, Google processes technical access data including your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, and information about your browser and operating system. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of the site.

Because the delivery function runs in the United States, your name and email address are transferred to a third country. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses apply in addition. Data processing agreements under Art. 28 GDPR are in place with all of the providers named above.
On some film pages we embed trailers through YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), a service of Google Ireland Limited. In this mode YouTube sets no cookies before you start playback. As soon as you play a video, your browser connects to Google's servers and transmits your IP address in doing so. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is presenting the films in the programme.
We use no analytics or tracking services, carry out no profiling, run no advertising, and do not pass your data on for advertising purposes. Apart from the language you choose, which is stored locally in your browser, we set no cookies.
You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20), as well as the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). An email to hello@munichfilmfestival.com is enough.
You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The one responsible for us is the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach.
